Instructions for a Process

Once you have a blog, you need to become the voice of authority.  One way to do this is by writing trustworthy instructions so blog readers can perform a skill or process.  You will select a blog-related subject that you can write and post the instructions for your readers.  Use the planner to create your post. This should include the following items:

  • An introduction section
  • A list of needed materials
  • A step-by-step process for performing the task, with no missing/out of order info
  • A warning/caution section
  • A conclusion

    1. The instructions are very clear, specific and well organized. You had a good use of verbs that made it more clear on what to do. Just confused on what you mean when you say, "everything else shall fall into place." Say in the conclusion in the outcome the reader should have when finished. Try to grab the audiences attention in the intro, but it is really good.

  3. How to Shoot a Soccer Ball

The purpose of the instructions is to teach someone who wants to learn soccer how to shoot a soccer ball. Shooting a soccer ball is a very important skill to learn because it is how goals are scored. Follow these instruction carefully and you will learn how to kick a soccer ball!

To learn how to shoot a soccer ball you will need a few items.
Soccer ball (Size of ball can vary depending on age)
    A goal to shoot on
    Cleats
    Grass to play on

Put soccer cleats on correct feet, then place soccer ball a few yards out from the goal on the ground.
Stand right behind the ball, take four steps back and one step to the left if you are a righty and vice versa.
Pick a spot of where you want to kick the ball.
Take bouncy steps (half jog) towards ball.
Your last step towards the ball should be a longer stride than the other steps.
Plant your non kicking foot by the side of the ball, The direction of the ball depends on the direction this leg is pointing.
As soon as your non kicking foot hits the ground, your kicking leg should bend at the knee so that your heel almost touches your behind.
Lean over the ball, pull your kicking leg back and strike through the middle of the ball with your laces. Foot should be pointed down while kicking the ball.
After you make contact with the ball, land on your kicking foot for more power on your shot.

Make sure you do this outside and not inside your house, as it could cause some damage. Also, remember to keep your foot locked and above the ground as you could hit the ground with your foot and cause a lot of serious pain.

If you follow the instructions, but the ball is going over the goal when you kick it. Make sure your head is down when you are kicking the ball and that you are leaning over the ball at contact. It takes a long time to get a good shot, keep practicing and don't be discouraged! If you keep working on the basics, you will eventually get the results you were working for.

    2. It would have been nice if the steps were numbered so it would be easier to read. Explanations were good.

    3. I really liked the tips you included throughout your blog. I also liked how you mostly started each step with a verb, but I would maybe add numbered steps to keep it clean and organized, and maybe add verbs to every beginning of your steps to keep it simple and brief.

    4. It is easier to follow if the steps were labeled, but other than that it looked good and the tips added were a nice touch.

  4. How to clean the air filter on your atv

Do you want to keep your atv running to its full potential. Do you want it to stay being a reliable machine. Then keeping your air filter clean is a must. To take out your air filter and clean it can take as low as ten minutes. Overtime after continually using your atv, dirt and dust will get sucked into your airbox and will be collected all over the air filter. To prevent this dirt and dust from being sucked into the motor through the intake. Cleaning your air filter in a short amount of time is easy and definitely worth doing. Keeping your filter clean will allow the correct amount of air into the motor for the best performance and reliability. The following material list and instructions will help you clean your air filter.

    Materials:
    Flat head screwdriver
    Air filter cleaning spray
    Air filter oil
    Bucket of water

    1. Take seat off of your atv
    2. Locate the air box towards the rear end of your atv mounted to the frame.
    3. Take the airbox lid off by flipping back the clips holding it down.
    4. You will see your air filter inside the airbox
    5. Use your flathead screwdriver to loosen the hose clamp that is holding the air filter on
    6. Pull the air filter in the direction towards the rear end of the atv and it will come off of the airbox.
    7. Put some tape over the inlet of the intake tube. Stuffing a clean rag inside of it will work also. This is to keep debris from getting into your intake inlet while you are cleaning your air filter.
    8. Get a bucket and fill it with water (temp of water does not matter)
    9. Submerge the air filter in the water and swish it around briefly just to get it wet.
    10. Pull the filter out of the water and spray the air filter cleaning spray onto the air filter material.
    11. Rub the cleaning spray around the air filter thoroughly
    12. Put the air filter back into the water and rinse out the cleaner
    13. Once cleaner is rinsed out, take filter out of the water.
    14. Use your air filter oil spray and spray the oil all over the surface of the filter.
    15. Reinstall your air filter onto the intake inlet
    16. Tighten the hose clamp on the filter to keep it on tight.
    17. Put airbox lid back in place and flip the clips back over it to keep it on.
    18. Put seat back on.

This process can be messy when using the spray cans needed. It would be a good idea to spray filter with cleaner and oil outside. Make sure that while cleaning your air filter you don't rip the filter material. If it gets ripped the filter will be useless because unfiltered air will be able to pass through the rip and into the motor.

After completing the process of cleaning your air filter. Your atv will start slightly better and perform better. You also will have the assurance that no debris will be getting into your motor.

    1. I know nothing about ATVS or anything that has anything to do with them and I could follow these steps perfectly. I would work on the conclusion a bit though and say something else rather than "slightly better."

    1. I really like how you added detail in each step so it makes them more clear. I also really like your intro, it's clear, and has a good attitude. But I would maybe add some meat to your conclusion to make it have a strong punch. But overall your blog is very useful and has some good tips in it.
